Lindo P
The Biography
Born Lindo Parkes Jr., son of Lindo Parkes Sr. a Jamaican law enforcer and Clara Parkes a dedicated nurse, he lived in the humble county bosom of St. Ann Jamaica. At a young age his family migrated to Toronto and like many others of the time came in search of a better life with visions of opportunity and employment. Known as a scholastic journeyman, having bounced from one Scarborough high school to the next, Lindo P quickly became bored of the rigors of school. More often then not he found himself ducking out of school to hone his craft; in search of his attributes that would write the opening chapter on what would be a new musical beginning known to us as Lindo P aka Lindisimo.
The Journey
Lindo P started his career with Blessed in the early 80’s, when they started a group called Poison Ivy. He later joined a DJ group called Lone Star and deputed at Club Hollywood (then located at Danforth & Greenwood). Leaving Lone Star in the early 90’s Lindo P joined a popular east Reggae sound called Red Flame. During his time with Red Flame Lindo P began playing at Clubs such as “Spectrum”, “Copa” and “The Beat” (now called Sheppard Station) with world renowned DJ group Stone Love, Heat Wave and recording artist Spragga Benz. After the break up of Red Flame in 1997 Lindo P was recruited by Spragga Roots of the Sound Heat Wave.
During his time with Heat Wave Lindo P played at many shows featuring well know artists such as Bounty Killa, Sizzla, Luciano, Lady Saw, Berrington Levy, Coco Tea, Baby Cham and Capelton. Lindo P has also been invited to play at many events in Calgary, Vancouver, Nova Scotia, Jamaica, Guyana, Antigua, London (Ontario), Windsor (Ontario), Ottawa, Montreal, and New Jersey.
After the break up of Heat Wave Lindo P started to focus more on writing and performing songs rather then just playing them…and the next chapter begins.

Lindo P was approached by a popular sound from Jamaica call Jah Creation which in turn drew Lindo to move and stay in Jamaica for a short period of time. This trip proved to be beneficial to his career, while in Jamaica Lindo was not only able to develop his disc jockeying ability but he was also able to refine his performance style while getting materials to continue song writing. Upon his return to Canada Lindo felt it was time to develop his singing career. Approaching his new path in his life Lindo was nervous, however the overwhelming positive response from the crowd made him feel right at home and Lindisimo was born. From that day on Lindisimo has been writing and performing songs while being approached by many artists who where looking for Lindisimo’s unique energetic flavour to be on their own songs. Lindo P is now teamed up with Timeless Entertainment Inc., an equally ambitious coalition of individuals dedicated to being successful. On June 4th, 2007 Lindo P received the Reggae DJ of the Year award at the 2007 Rogers Stylus DJ awards, which is proof that together Timeless Entertainment Inc., and Lindo P look to take the urban music scene by storm; pledging to “bun fiyah” on any obstacles that dare stand in their way.

The Partnership
Having already etched himself deep within Toronto’s urban subculture as a DJ, Lindo P aka Lindisimo (lin-dee-si-mo) has quickly proven himself to be a successful artist. It’s hard to envision T-Dot’s underground scene without uttering the name Lindisimo. Drawing his unparalleled energy from such greats as Bob Marley, Sizzla, Luciano and Life itself; Lindisimo lives in the studio hammering track after track and anthem after anthem.
Lindisimo has performed songs with many artists such as Blessed, Frank N’ Dank, Danny O and Virgin recording Artist Kardinal Offishall. Lindisimo was invited by Kardinal Offishall to join ‘The Black Jays” which is a group of international top urban artists.
Lindisimo has also been invited to perform in front of thousands of people at the Canadian Urban Music Awards, Toronto Reggae Music Festival (invited by Ron Nelson), Dundas Square (invited by the Caribana Association) and the Toronto International Street Festival.
